Academics
The academics of the college were good. The course I studied there was B. Tech in Electronics Engineering. The curriculum was well-updated and the quality of education in my college was futuristic. It made me job-ready and skilled.
College Infra
The infrastructure of the college was good and facilities and amenities of good quality were there. The classrooms were well-maintained. The hostel food was awesome and the rooms were huge and of good quality. The library was fine and the living areas were clean.
Campus Life
The best thing about the college was the hostel life and the worst thing was its library sometimes as it was not that spacious. The students engaged in all the activities and volunteered. The location of the college was good and it could handle emergencies nicely.
Placements
The placements at the college were good. 100% of students of the college got placed. The highest package for the Electronics branch was around 18 lacs and the average was around 8 lacs. The placement process was fine and the college was always good and supportive.
Value For Money
The college was a value for money as the fee of my course was 90 thousand per year and I got skilled and job-ready after my course.

Academics
The overall academics are literally outstanding, there teaching styles, understanding a concepts are very good. Our college is affiliated to MAKAUT , and the curriculum which is followed here as same as the AICTE curriculum which is to be honest a little bit backdated.
College Infra
The college infrastructure is well and good . There are a lot of well furnished classrooms, labs, cells , gym and also the common rooms. There is a big playground in our school and also a badminton court. There is a canteen where very hygienic quality foods are served. But the negetive thing is that there is no hostel facility.
Campus Life
If you are thinking of having a great campus life, then you are totally wrong. The campus life is very wrose . There is no feast , no excursion etc. There is a strict policy everywhere to be followed that makes your college life into a strict school life.
Placements
The placement oppertunity is more or less average. The highest package which is offered here is almost 10 LPA from CSE department. From our department ECE the average placement is around 5LPA. The students pursuing 6th semester can seat for placement. The top recruitment companies are Infosys, Cognizant, Capegimini, P360.
Value For Money
The course cost is high as compared to others. The avg cost per semester is around 70K. But in considering others facilities and the placements, in my opinion it is not the value for money at all. Furthermore the others amenities are also costly here.

Academics
Students are top ranked and teachers are also good and cooperative. Administrative department is also good. Labs are good and regular. In labs u will have a hands on experience in every thing almost as resources are available
College Infra
Infrastructure is a old building with sufficient lab and classes. Not very bad. It's in a school campus which more than 100 years old. Playground, indoor games are provided. Auditorium and labs are also good.
Campus Life
Campus life is boring as no hostel facilities is provided by the college. But college organise football,cricket, athletics, badminton,table tennis and many games. Fests are also arranged in the college.
Placements
Placement was only in IT industry in our times. Don't know about it now. Almost 70 percent get placed in IT industry. And rest of the people also get good opportunity as they are already a good student
Value For Money
Average marking for the value of money. Because it doesn't not fulfill most of the desire of a student. But alumni of the college provides a good network to the passout as they are in good position in the industry specially IT.

see st Thomas college of engineering is a private college under maulana abul kalam ajad university of technology, kolkata. where IIEST shivpur is centralized institute and comes under government college. IIEST college is far more better than st thomas college or any other private colleges in west bengal. iiest
