In 1881, Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, was established. The college is affiliated with the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH) and imparts a varied range of specialised courses in homoeopathic medicine. This 1-acre campus accommodates an enrolment of 163 students and a faculty of 23, showing the dedication towards the homoeopathic education field by offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses to aspiring homoeopaths at different levels of their academic journey.

The Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital feels proud about providing a comprehensive set of facilities to enhance the learning environment of students. There are separate hostel accommodations meant for boys and girls to have comfortable living for out-of-station students. A well-equipped health centre with first-aid facilities is available on the campus, duly emphasising the well-being of the college community. The library of this institution is also a knowledge hub in its own right and helps students with enormous resources to dig deeper into studies. Both indoor and outdoor sports facilities are provided for the all-round development of students. The departmental laboratories within the institution are also an integral part of practical learning and research for the students in the various streams of homoeopathic medicine.

This university offers seven courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This range runs from the flagship institutional programme, the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, which is a six-year full-time course. The institution offers, at the postgraduate level, six MD programmes: MD Practice of Medicine, MD Homeopathic Organon of Medicine, MD Homoeopathic Paediatrics, MD Homoeopathic Pharmacy, MD Materia Medica, and MD Homoeopathic Philosophy. Each of these courses will run for three years and will be full-time.

This college offers admission on the basis of selecting the most promising candidates for admission to the Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital.
