A budget-friendly college that delivers a solid education.

The curriculum provides a solid theoretical foundation with a strong emphasis on core subjects. Faculty are dedicated to ensuring students understand fundamental concepts through regular lectures. Very

      College Infra

The infrastructure is surprisingly modern and well-maintained, especially given the college's low-key public profile. The institution clearly prioritizes academic utility, providing well-equipped specialized labs, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, and a robust library stocked with essential technical resources. The classrooms are designed to facilitate a focused learning environment, and the computer centers are updated to support modern programming and research .Overall, it is an ideal environment for dedicated students looking for a high-quality education and excellent professional prospects without the inflated costs of high-profile branding.

      Campus Life

Campus life is decent and focused. While the social scene isn't overly loud due to minimal marketing, the close-knit community and various student clubs provide a balanced, productive atmosphere. Fest conducted are very enjoying.

      Placements

Placements are average but consistent. While top-tier firms visit, most offers come from mass recruiters. The ROI remains decent as the placement cell works hard to ensure every student gets a start.

      Value For Money

Good value for money. The low fee structure combined with decent placement opportunities results in a high ROI, making it a smart financial choice for a quality engineering education. It effectively bridges the gap between cost and quality, proving that you don’t need to pay a premium for a solid academic foundation and a clear pathway to a professional career.

      Good but not great

      Academics

Quality of teaching The quality of teaching is mixed. Some faculty members are knowledgeable and explain concepts clearly, especially core subjects like programming and mathematics. However, a few teachers rely heavily on slides and textbook theory, with limited practical examples. Interactive learning, real-world case studies, and hands-on coding sessions are still lacking in many subjects. Curriculum relevance The curriculum is partially updated. Core fundamentals are strong, but emerging areas like AI, data science, cloud computing, and industry tools are either introduced very late or covered only at a surface level. There is still a noticeable gap between what is taught in class and what the industry currently expects. Job readiness While the curriculum builds theoretical understanding, it does not fully make students job-ready on its own. Practical exposure, internships, live projects, and competitive coding need to be pursued independently. Students who rely only on classroom teaching may struggle during placements, whereas self-motivated students who upskill outside the syllabus can do well. Overall academic experience Academically, the college provides a decent foundation, but students must take responsibility for learning beyond the syllabus. With more industry-oriented teaching, updated content, and practical assessments, the academic experience could be significantly improved.

      College Infra

      1) Infrastructure, facilities, and equipment The college has most of the basic infrastructure in place, but it’s not perfect. Academic buildings, libraries, and labs are available and functional. However, some facilities feel outdated and could benefit from modernization. While the college meets minimum requirements, it still lags behind top-tier institutions in terms of smart classrooms, advanced lab equipment, and overall campus aesthetics. Real-life feel: Everything you need is there, but not everything feels “next-gen.” 2) Classrooms, labs, and academic facilities Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, but not all of them are equipped with projectors or smart boards. Labs are present for all core subjects, and practical sessions are conducted regularly. That said, some lab equipment is old or shared among many students, which limits hands-on exposure at times. The library has a decent collection of books, but digital resources and study spaces could be improved. Example: During peak practical sessions, students often have to wait their turn to use certain lab tools. 3) Living spaces: cleanliness and hygiene Hostel rooms and common areas are generally clean, but cleanliness depends heavily on management and supervision. Washrooms are cleaned regularly, though maintenance can be inconsistent, especially during busy semesters. With better monitoring and quicker repair work, living conditions could improve significantly.

      Campus Life

The campus has a decent infrastructure, but it sometimes feels like it’s stuck between “functional” and “unfinished.” There are green spaces and study areas that are pleasant, but in many parts, maintenance feels inconsistent. Some buildings and common rooms could use better upkeep. Best features Open spaces and hangout areas: There are decent lawns and benches where students can relax, study, or socialize. Basic facilities: The library, labs, and canteen exist and are usable — but not always student-friendly during peak hours. Student groups and clubs: A few tech clubs and hobby groups are active, offering opportunities to learn, compete, or just have fun.

      Placements

The overall placement quality at the college is average, not exceptional. While a few good companies do visit the campus every year, most of the recruiters offer entry-level roles with moderate packages. The placement outcomes depend heavily on the student’s own skills rather than the college brand alone. Placement percentage Roughly 60–70% of students get placed by the end of the placement season. However, this number varies significantly across branches. Core branches and Computer Science-related courses perform better, while some students either remain unplaced or opt for higher studies or off-campus opportunities. Salary packages The highest salary package offered was 24 LPA, which went to a Computer Science Engineering (CSE) student. While this highlights that top opportunities do exist, such offers are limited to a very small number of high-performing students. The average salary ranges around 4–6 LPA, with many students receiving offers closer to the lower end of this range. Placement process & college support The placement process is structured but not very smooth. There are multiple rounds, and the process can sometimes feel stressful and poorly communicated. The placement cell is supportive in terms of arranging drives and sharing information, but personalized guidance, mock interviews, and resume feedback could be improved. Students who are proactive tend to benefit more than those who depend entirely on the placement cell. Overall placement experience Placements at the college provide basic opportunities, especially for CSE students, but they are not guaranteed. To secure a good package, students must work on coding, projects, internships, and interview preparation on their own. The college acts more as a facilitator than a career builder.

      Value For Money

The total cost of the course is around ₹8.5 lakh, which is on the higher side compared to some government colleges but reasonable when compared to many private institutions offering similar programs. Return on investment Considering the placements, infrastructure, and academic exposure, the course feels pretty worth the money. With an average package of 4–6 LPA and opportunities going up to 24 LPA for top performers, students who actively work on their skills can recover the investment within a few years of graduation. What you get for the fee The fees cover decent classroom facilities, labs, campus infrastructure, and access to faculty and placement support. However, some advanced resources, industry tools, and specialized training still require self-learning or external courses, which slightly reduces the overall value.

      Academics

Academics are fine and teachers are good. Teachers take regular classes and address your doubts. The curriculum followed is still old. So if you want to be job-ready, then you just can not solely depend on college studies, you also need to work on your skills.

      College Infra

USICT has fantastic building, fully spacious campus and two large sports grounds. It has a nice and a huge library which is fully air-conditioned. Classrooms are big and well lit. Sports facilities are awesome. There is one basketball court, one volleyball court and one tennis court. The college also provides hostel facilities. There is a separate hostel for girls and boys.

      Campus Life

Campus life is awesome. College has many societies like music, dance, photography, etc. Students can engage in many activities. They can also attend various seminars/workshops which are organized by other schools of the university.

      Placements

Placements are average. The highest package offered last year was 21 lakhs per annum while the average package offered was around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Last year almost every second student was placed. Top companies like TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, bank of America have come to our college for placement.

      Value For Money

Fees for first year was 70000/- and for second, third and fourth year it got reduced to 66000/- per year. Hostel fee was 60000/- per year for a single occupancy room. The fees is way too less than most of the other engineering colleges in Delhi and since it was a government college so the fees was worth it.
