BTech LLB full form is Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Legislative Law. It is a dual degree programme of six years’ duration, spread across twelve semesters. The course provides knowledge of both technical and legal subjects. In the initial three years, students will study subjects related to BTech , and in the final three years, students will study LLB (Bachelor of Legislative Law).

To be eligible for the BTech LLB course, candidates should have completed their 10+2 in any stream from a recognised institute in India. However, it is a relatively new course; therefore not many colleges offer the programme. Generally, admissions are based on the entrance examinations or merit score,s depending on the institute.

After graduation, candidates can opt for various job profiles. Some of the popular job profiles are Lawyer, Legal Analyst, Patent Engineer, and Legal Advisor. The average salary of a Patent Engineer in India is Rs. 5.3 LPA, depending on the skills and experience of the graduate. Apart from corporate, candidates can also apply for higher education degrees, such as an LLM.
