    You have full chance to get IT branch in IIIT which according to me is a far better option to go with. as a engineer you have lot more opportunities,freedom,money and status if you belong to IT branch comparing it with other lower branch you can get in NIT and IIIT holds a better reputation than NIT irrespective of the fact that NIT's were established 30-40 years before and newer IIIT's were established 10-4 years ago.

    Choose the one which you feel is the best.
