Baba Farid college of Education, Kathua was started in 2003 and this is a coeducation educational institution located in state of Jammu Kashmir, India. This affiliated college is committed to enhance the quality of education in teaching profession. Located at Hatli Road, near the Railway Station the college provides a suitable learning environment for aspiring teachers. The college has limited human resources personnel comprised of 10 members of faculty for effectively preparing passionate and skilful teachers of the future generation.

The college also enjoys a list of a variety of infrastructures which complements the learning needs of the students. Indeed a library with adequate literature is an intellectual resource centre, called into par for learning in the academic process. It also cherishes departmental laboratories that afford the necessary practical experiences which are essential for training teachers. At present Baba Farid College of Education provides only one main course, i.e., Bachelors in Education (B.Ed). This full-time course takes two years and offers a complete training to its learners for becoming professional teachers. The B.Ed program is developed to provide students with the appropriate skills, mentoring, and training that will make them qualify to teach effectively in the teaching profession.
