Vidyasagar College for Women, Kolkata was founded in 1960 as the flagship initiative of West Bengal for women's education. An affiliated college covers an area of 3 acres at 39 Sankar Ghosh Lane, Kolkata-700006. The total strength of students is 1,700 against a faculty strength of 66, teaching 18 different courses across 4 degree programmes. This institute has also bagged the rating of National Assessment and Accreditation Council to show that the institution was successful in its quality teaching processes. Vidyasagar College for Women is an undergraduate women's college with specialisations in arts and sciences.
