Shri S'ad Vidya Mandal Institute of Technology, Bharuch, is one of the well-established educational institutes that were established in the year 1996. It is a constituent college affiliated to Gujarat Technological University situated in Bharuch, Gujarat, on a sprawling campus over 11 acres. SVMIT has also been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education; therefore, the standards of technical education related to the engineering disciplines are well maintained. The institute offers 6 undergraduate engineering programmes with a total student enrolment of 1,540 and a faculty strength of 47.

SVMIT has a variety of modern facilities that are apt to promote the growth of students both academically as well as individually. Every department offers well-furnished laboratories that enable students to indulge in practical experiences. SVMIT has separate hostels for both boys and girls to accommodate the students coming from various states of the country. There is a boys' hostel, "Virtual Homes," accommodating 270 students with intake capacity on campus. Girls' Hostel: "S.V.M. Hostel." Its accommodation capacity is 96. Mess facilities, libraries, and common rooms with television facilities are available in both of them.

It is offering 6 full-time BE programmes with all regular courses. The specialisations are very wide-ranging in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The admission process in SVMIT mainly follows the common entrance test in the state called Gujarat Common Entrance Test or GUJCET. Therefore, this state level exam acts as a gateway for students aspiring to be admitted into engineering programs in the institute.
