SOIL Gurgaon Placement Process 2024
The Career Management Services (CMS) team determines the student interest areas prior to the start of the programme based on their prior experience and domain knowledge.
The CMS team also organises several industry leader workshops where students can discover potential career interests. Based on this, the CMS team compiles a list to determine the type of companies that should be invited to campus each year.
From the first day on campus, the preparatory process for SOIL Gurgaon placement begins. Students go through a series of exercises that get them ready for recruitment with the help of the CMS and the Placement committee members.
According to the student's interests in different sectors and areas of specialisation, invitations are sent to companies with the necessary details. Companies planning to visit SOIL should get in touch with the CMS team to discuss the details of job profiles and student profiles required.
Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) offers the chance for interaction between the recruiting company and the students. The company makes a basic presentation on its history, growth potential, future opportunities, job profile, compensation and location. The students will be given advance notice of the PPT schedule so they can get ready with relevant questions for the PPT session.
The CMS team releases the Job Description profile for the next placement processes after the PPT process. After comparing their areas of interest to the job requirements, students can apply to the company via the career online portal.
The pre-interview rounds include Group Discussions, Written ability test or psychometric tests. The prerequisites will be communicated to the students from their end, and these vary depending on the company. For the purpose of better-preparing students for the pre-interview phase, the CMS team will hold knowledge sessions.
The final interview is held after the student has passed the pre-interview phase. This round often consists of several rounds on leadership, business, and technical skills. Depending upon the company the final round may have several rounds, with each round lasts for 40 minutes.
