Vidyasagar Metropolitan College is one of the prestigious institutions in Kolkata and was established in 1961. The co-educational institution is located at 39 Sankar Ghosh Lane, near Thanthania Kali Bari. The college admits students at undergraduate level in various streams. Affiliated with the University of Calcutta, the college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Among the most sought-after programmes of the college include B.Com Accounting and Finance (Hons) with 90 seats, B.Sc Mathematics Hons having 80 seats, and BA English Hons with 80 seats.
