About NIT Durgapur

The National Institute of Technology Durgapur was established by the Government of India in 1960, as an Institute of National Importance. NIT Durgapur offers courses in the stream of Engineering, Sciences, Management, Arts and Humanities. NIT Durgapur (NIT DGP) offers a total of 56 courses including B.Tech, M.Sc, M.B.A, M.Tech and Ph.D.

The institute will be providing the students with a number of NIT Durgapur scholarship government scholarships namely- Financial Support to the Students of NER for Higher Professional Courses (NEC Merit Scholarship), ISHAN UDAY - Special Scholarship Scheme For North Eastern Region, Scholarships for Top Class Education for students with disabilities and others. PG Scholarship For University Rank Holders (Ist and IInd Rank Holders)	Rs. 3,100 per month for a period of two years only.	The age limit for the students is 30 years at the time of admission in PG course The scholarship is available to the student for the first PG Degree only.
PG Scholarship Scheme For SC ST Students For Pursuing Professional Courses	For other courses, the amount of scholarship will be paid is Rs. 4500 per month. National Institute of Technology Durgapur admissions are available for different courses at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels. NIT Durgapur admissions are offered full-time courses. College Infrastructure

All the classes are smart classrooms, and we have a huge central library with free Wi-Fi. The labs are well-facilitated with good computers and a super-fast network. Our college itself is well known for quality food. However, the hostels are just okay. The value for money in the hostels is poor, but the food and other amenities provided are valuable for the given money.

i have obc NCL certificate from bihar but my state of eligibility is west bengal can i have home state quota in nit durgapur under obc category??

You cannot submit your OBC NCL certificate is from Bihar in nit Durgapur ,you can still avail the home state quota benefits in NIT Durgapur under the OBC category if your state of eligibility is West Bengal; you just need to ensure your certificate is valid and recognized by the West Bengal government for admission purposes.

Obtain a obc certificate from west bengal government if both states have same eligibility criteria and ensure you must fulfill it.
