As i am an SSC course student....so i pay total 1lakh per year...No i don't feel i am getting money's worth.. because we are paying extra money but we don't have any extra facilities
Infrastructure is good as per government college standards, but the old classrooms are not in that good shape though. Also the campus is going through major uplifting constructions so the old buildings’ shape gets overruled.
Teachers are more interested in skipping the syllabus rather then imparting education to students. But, there are some teachers too who really care for us teach very much sincerely. I personally adore them a lot.
Placement is an issue with government colleges, particularly state run ones. Many students crack through off campus drives and bag huge packages. But last year campus drive offered a max of 10LPA probably.
Purely value for money. VFM Factor is the highest amongst all the Engineering colleges in Odisha. 4yrs B.Tech= 1.65L + hostel= 0.5L.
The ragging culture is not in extinction yet. Administration, as always, ignores the ragging matters voiced by juniors and whenever the matter comes to media, they try to cover it up and try to depress the juniors’ voices.
Truly an experience of engineering that you can’t get anywhere else, not even in IITs. Highly recommended for those who can’t make it to the NITs/ IITs.
My college have excellent infrastructure,it provides all facilities and equipments. Air conditioning and digital class rooms . They are used as per required and we'll maintenance regularly manner.living places are neat and clean and food hygienic.

Course cost per year is 40000.yes I feel that I am getting my money because such types of excellent teaching and facilities is more than our course cost.
College is fully green campus .it has calm and quiet environment . there are several clubs in our college, gym center inside campus.teachers are highly qualified, friendly, helping in nature, motivated.college is 1.5 k.m from hirakud railway station and it is 700 meter from mumbai-kolkatta NH . definitely it is safest place than other colleges. There is each and every single equipment in the labs to conduct experiments. A large playground is present. Yes, the living spaces are clean and the food available is hygienic.
I'm studying Metallurgical and Materials Engineering because I love it. The quality of teaching is the best one can find anywhere on planet Earth. Yes, our curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. It makes me ready for job.
The quality of placement at my college is amazing. The highest salary was offered by Tata Steel - 10.2 LPA - and it went to EE engg. The second highest salary was offered by BYJUS - 10 LPA - and it went to Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. The average salary offered was 4.9996875 LPA.
We have smart education boards for exemplified learning experience. Hostel wifi is mostly available except maybe during breakdown Our library is furnished with sufficient tech stuffs in different domains and is well maintained for study atmosphere.
Our professors are all well qualified and provide proper career guidance and career paths and we get their help in a lot of project works for hackathons and research papers. They are also very supportive in our extra curricular activities like sports meets, Yoga Camps and National Cadet Corps.
The placement rate is very effectively high in our College and our Placement Coordinators and Professor in charge have built deep networks to increase the campus placement rate further. The placements in the core companies are also increasing by the help of our Alumini database.
Per sem tuition fees is Rs. 18000 for Bachelors degree . And since it is a Government College so we are happy to be having these facilities.
The best features are the Technical and Cultural societies and their initiatives of which I am a part as well. The remote location of our College often hampers in a lot of potential outcomes for the College. But with the construction of Jharsuguda Airport these problems have been solved as well
Well it has been a great journey of ups and downs . I have another year at the college and hope to make the best out of it.
Infrastructure is quite old and it is renovated from time to time. Hostels are provided to all and its hygenic. And for sports there is a different clubs. The library facilities is available with plenty of textbook and novels. Wifi facilities is enabled in all over the campus.
I am currently studying in B.tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Here the faculties are very well talented and experienced in thier field. If you are a regular student then i guarantee you that you will learn many things in this college. Yes the curriculum is well updated and makes me job ready.
The quality of placements is very impressive in this college. Previous years about 75% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered was 8 lakhs per annum. And the average salary was about 3.5 lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies were Tata Motors, Delloite, Infosys, L&T etc. 80% students got internship also in the companies like DRDO and others.
My course Comp Science Engg costs about 75 thousands per year. This is only the Tuition Fee , Hostel and mess fees are total costs about 25 thousands per year. I think compared to the level of College the fees is quite feasible. Yes I feel like my money's getting worth here.
There are different clubs and sports in VSSUT for extracurricular activities. Students with interest in Technology stuffs can attend technical clubs like ROBOTICS, E-CELL, IIC, AVC, PIXELS and students with interest in Cultural events can attend SOULS, VIBRANZ, EMOTICA,etc. We have four primary sports in our college. They are BASKETBALL, CRICKET, FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL,etc.
Overall I will recommend this college to everyone as its a beat Government college in Odisha.
College has a very good infrastructure. It is equipped with smart classes. Hostels and the whole campus is available with wifi facility. It even has a well maintained playground where students play a variety of sports events.
I am presently persuing my Btech in civil engineering. The faculties here are really very good and have a good experience about their respective field. They help the students in all manners to keep up with their studies.
The quality of placement provided by this college is really appreciable. The faculties here work hard along with the students to make the capable enough to beg a good placement. Special classes are even conducted for improving the students knowledge.
Hi
Hope you are doing well
Having a Jee category rank upto 1 lakh, it may be difficult to secure core branches like Computer Science or Electronics in (VSSUT)
However, you might have a chance to get admission in less competitive branches such as Civil, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering, especially under the OBC category.
Home state quota: If you are from Odisha, you may have a better chance due to the state quota system.
Special rounds of counseling: Sometimes, seats open up in later counseling rounds or in the CSAB special rounds, where you may have a better chance.

Best Wishes.
Hello student,
With a JEE Mains rank of 68,000 from the OBC category, getting admission to the Electronics branch at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, might be challenging. VSSUT is a well-regarded engineering college, and the cut-off for popular branches like Electronics tends to be much lower.
However, cut-offs vary yearly based on the number of applicants, seat availability, and category-specific reservations. While it might be difficult, you could still try during the later rounds of counseling or look into other less competitive branches.
I would recommend you to use JEE college predictor tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank.
