Al-Hilal Mission Teachers Training Institute was founded in the year 2012 at Murshidabad in West Bengal. This is a co-educational college with a compact campus area of 0.99 acres. It is an affiliated college whose NCTE-approved teaching programmes are two in number. With a total enrolment of 185 students and a faculty strength of 21, Al-Hilal Mission provides a focused learning environment.

The institute has a wide range of facilities to enhance the learning experience of its students. The library is the mainstay of academic resources and has more than 6,000 books, 25 education journals, and 20 encyclopaedias—ample study material for a budding educator. For physical well-being, both indoor and outdoor sports facilities are available on the college campus. The IT infrastructure provides students with knowledge about how to keep pace with the fast pace of technological changes taking place in education. An auditorium in the institution serves as a venue for events and seminars. The laboratories in the college are well-equipped for practical learning.

Al-Hilal Mission Teachers Training Institute is presently running two full-time courses, which are of paramount interest in the future development of education. Its total intake capacity is 200 students in its different programmes; thus, it properly divides its attention toward both elementary and secondary teacher training.

The admission process into Al-Hilal Mission Teachers Training Institute is based on merit. Admission to the D.El.Ed. course shall be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per the policy of the state government or UT administration, whichever is applicable. Similarly, admission to the B.Ed. course shall be made on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test, if so regulated by the policy of the state government, UT administration, and affiliated university.
