The College of Dairy & Food Science Technology, Udaipur abbreviated as (CDFST Udaipur) is one of the most prestigious constituent Colleges since 1978. Situated in Rajasthan, currently affiliated to the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. CDFST Udaipur is one of the technical institutions which received approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) thus providing quality educational practices in dairy, food and biotechnology science. The college has a faculty that is comprises of 9 members and, it offers three different B.Tech streams. CDFST Udaipur is a co-educational institution and this means that all the genders have equal parts in their institutions and they are treated equally.

CDFST Udaipur has well equipped facilities for the students to have a modern experience during there studies. The college have two hostels for the males and females respectively with facilities like gymnasium, reading room and indoor games etc. DT Boys Hostel designed accommodate 60 students and female students live in the university girls hostel. Rich in knowledge, the college library comprises a stock of books totaling 16500 copies and 11 National and International journals with computerised issuing system. They get access to well-equipped laboratory, computer lab provided with thirty computing facility and the facility of wireless connection from the campus. For recreation and sports, college has sports facilities while for canteen which sells various kinds of foods for the students. There is an auditorium that can comfortably accommodate an event or seminar session, The compound is surrounded by security cameras, and security guards.

The institute offers three full-time B.Tech programmes: Food Processing, Dairy Technology, Food Technology and Biotechnology. These programmes actually prepare their learners for four years in a particular area of concentration and equip them with adequate grounded theoretical and pragmatic information. The B.Tech programmes offered in this college are in Dairy Technology and Food Technology, it has a total intake of 60 students each year and B.Tech in Biotechnology for 15 students each year. This raises the student admission number to 135 covering all the programs; a factor that the college is keen to support its desired student faculty ratio and quality education provision.

For all B.Tech courses in the CDFST Udaipur campus, candidates are selected based on the score achieved in the Joint Entrance Test (JET) conducted by the State Agricultural University. This brings a system of the right processes implemented to ensure that deserving candidates get to be selected. The students willing to take admission in the university and in the particular programmes have to clear the JET exam and get selected. JET score for all of the college’s B.Tech courses is accepted making it essential for aspiring students.
