CSMSS Ayurved Mahavidayalya and Ruganalay, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, was started in the year 1989. This affiliated college is one of the prime units undertaking the main task of education and health programmes related to Ayurveda with its rich course content in Indian traditional medicine. This institute covers an area of 7 acres and has been awarded a grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. With an enrolment of 629 students and a faculty strength of 75.

The CSMSS Ayurved Mahavidayalya and Ruganalay has various modern facilities to back up the academic pursuits of the institution. The library, being a learning hub, stock more than 12,000 volumes related to Ayurveda and allied medicines; it is well supplemented by a spacious reading hall and subscriptions to all the essential scientific periodicals. This institute's flagship course is the undergraduate degree course in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery witfh an intake capacity of 100 students. At the postgraduate level, it runs different MD/MS courses with an intake of 6 in each. All these allow students to pursue and explore certain areas of Ayurvedic practice more intensively. The Ph.D. course in Ayurveda offers the highest possible academic pursuit at the Institute by promoting research and innovation in traditional medicine.
