HITS Chennai Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), Chennai offers admission to diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Hindustan University B.Tech admission is based on an online entrance exam - HITSEEE. For Hindustan University B.Arch admission, candidates have to appear for NATA. Hindustan University admission to BBA LLB Hons and BA LLB Hons is done through CLAT or LSAT. 

HITS Chennai admission to M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan is done based on an entrance test followed by group discussions and a personal interview conducted by Hindustan University. Basically, the HITS admissions for PG courses are through an entrance test, group discussions, and personal interview. Hindustan University takes into consideration students who have passed their Higher Secondary Examination with commendable marks for admission.

• Candidates having the qualifying marks can apply to any one of the UG courses offered by HITS. 

• The HITS applications should be submitted at the admission office before the deadline. 

• This does not apply to those who apply for non-professional programmes and research-related programmes.

HITS Chennai offers two admission to diploma programmes. The diploma programmes offered by Hindustan University are Advanced Diploma in Autotronics and Advanced Diploma in Optometry. HITS Chennai offers admission to undergraduate programmes. Hindustan University courses at the UG level include BTech, B.Sc, BBA, B.A, B.Com, B.Des, BCA, B.Arch, LLB, BA LLB (Hons.) and BA LLB (Hons). Hindustan University BTech Admission Process 

• Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria for Hindustan University BTech admission.

• Eligible candidates need to register online for the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Engineering Entrance Examination (HITSEEE) and submit the HITSEEE application form before the last date. 

• Next, candidates have to appear for the online entrance exam- HITSEEE.

• The result is released in the form of a rank list. The HITSEEE cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates need to score to qualify in the exam and be eligible for securing an engineering seat in the institute.

• Based on the entrance examination score and marks in the qualifying examination, a rank list is prepared for Hindustan University admission into B.Tech programmes. 

• Further, the authorities conduct the HITSEEE counselling in online mode for qualified candidates. The rank secured by candidates and the preferences filled during choice filling shall be considered by the authorities for the allotment of seats.

• The final admission is done after verification of documents and payment of the Hindustan University admission fees.

Hindustan University BArch Admission Process 2025

• Candidates aspiring for Hindustan University B.Arch admission must meet the required eligibility criteria.

• Then, eligible candidates have to register and appear for NATA.

• The rank list is released by the authorities based on candidates' performance in NATA.

Hindustan University PGD/ MBA/ MCA/ MSc/ MA English Language Communication Admission Process

For Hindustan University admission to PGD, MBA, MCA, MSc and MA English Language Communication programmes, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria.

• Next, candidates need to fill out the application form and pay the HITS application fee.

• Admission to the postgraduate programmes in arts and science is offered based on the merit of the past qualifying exam which is the aggregate percentage in the graduation of the relevant subjects.
