B.Tech Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2025-01-01

Academics

Depends on the professor and course. Grading and exams depend on professors decision. Exams surprise the students, we have open-book exams too. Some courses are crazy difficult, hence their exam also difficult. Professors are amazing, some are rude, but most of them are ready for collaboration and helping students.

College Infra

The internet is fine, some places have low connectivity, otherwise the internet is good on campus and provides good speed. Hostels are old and worn out, renovation is much needed. The library is amazing, 2 floor library, mess food is good and hygienic. Sports facilities are amazing.

Placements

95% get placed in the CS department. The highest package is 4 crores, the lowest is 40 LPA, and the average package is 60-70 LPA. Top recruiters are JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Jane Street, Optiver, etc. Top roles include data analyst, ML engineer, backend engineer, and frontend engineer.

College is absolutely amazing as it is India best college. Academic facilities like classrooms labs, library are often described as modern, well-maintained and supportive of learning with WiFi fast everywhere.

Placements

Highest packet for engineering students have reach around 40.5,00,000 per annum. Average median generally reported in the height 20,00,000 range reported placement rate in some data was around 61% for the 2025 season, noting that placement activity continues and final Numbers can change.
