Karunya University Facilities

Spread over an area of 700 acres, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), Coimbatore strives to make the students and other members of the institute be at ease. One of the visions of the institute is to train the students to raise them as technical experts and entrepreneurs. The Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore facilities and infrastructure includes a range of options of laboratories, IT infrastructure, the centre of excellence which in collaboration with some renowned MNCs. The classrooms at Karunya University are fully equipped and provide the students with the latest teaching aids. The institute houses nationally acclaimed Water Research and Food Processing Laboratories. There are a total of 15 computer labs and a provision of laptops and computers for the students, which is done by the departments.

Apart from the academic per se Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences Facilities and Infrastructure comprise of a sports complex, gym, auditoriums, residences, hospital and central library. The details of KITS Coimbatore facilities are mentioned below:

Boys Hostel
The University has 15 separate residences to comfortably accommodate over 8000 students in cozy single, double & four bedded rooms. The hostel administration is carried out by Chief Warden, Joint Chief Wardens, Wardens, Senior Residence Advisors (SRAs) and other faculty and staff. The students can avail tutor facilities at the residences. Counselors & team members from students care and support (SCS) regularly visit the student's residences for counseling services. Gents Residences - Father Duraisamy Residence, Edward George Residence, Angelina Residence, Hephzibah Residence, Jerry Manuel Residence, SG Bobraj Residence, Johnson Victor Residence & Bethany Residence.
Girls Hostel
The University has 15 separate residences to comfortably accommodate over 8000 students in cozy single, double & four bedded rooms. The hostel administration is carried out by Chief Warden, Joint Chief Wardens, Wardens, Senior Residence Advisors (SRAs) and other faculty and staff. Ladies Residences Sundararaj Residence, Sundararaj Residence Extension, PR Garg Residence, Sevugapandian Residence, Oprah Residence, Evangeline Residence & Dhakshinamoorthy Residence.
Medical/Hospital
The Seesha-Karunya Rural Community Hospital has a provision of 50 beds.
Gym
KITS, Coimbatore believes in maintaining physical health. There is an area of the gym for students to carry out their workout sessions.
Library
Central Library at KITS, Coimbatore is a source of a range of textbooks, reference books, online databases, e-resources, audio and video sources. The students have complete access to these sources of information.
Sports

The University has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The campus has an auditorium where various cultural activities, guest lectures and seminars are taken.
Alumni Associations
KITS, Coimbatore encourages the students to inculcate in some sports activities. The KITS, Coimbatore campus has a facility for both indoor and outdoor games like Football, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carom, Handball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Hockey, and Archery.
Wifi
The University provides 24/7 Wifi Internet Connectivity available.
Laboratories
The institute carries out research work related to food and nanotechnology. The research is carried out in the Food Processing Laboratories and Nanotechnology Laboratories.
Banks/ATMs
There is Syndicate Bank and an ATM inside the campus that is open for the staff members and students of KITS. There is also an ATM facility of SBI and TMB banks.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
The KITS, Coimbatore campus comprises a guest house which has a provision for AC/Non-AC/Family suites. There is also a multi-cuisine restaurant in KITS campus.
Classrooms
The institute provides classrooms with the latest teaching aids. The classrooms at KITS, Coimbatore are gallery classrooms.
Convenience Store
For the convenience of the staff and the students there are utility stores of office stationery, snacks and other items. There are shops inside the lady's residence which has girls' needy supplies.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure and labs are good. Unlimited Wi-Fi with a speed of 2 GBPS is available. The hostel food is really good, but the rules and regulations are very boring and disgusting. The college got NAAC B grade this year.

College Infrastructure

Full high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout campus. Labs are well maintained and have required faculty members and equipment. The canteen has pretty good food. Sports grounds for various sports are available. The library is pretty nice and has a good collection of academic books.
