Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. PDEU offers multiple courses ranging from Engineering and Technology, Sciences, Humanities and Management. PDEU Gandhinagar admission to its courses is entrance-based. 

PDEU BTech admission is done through the entrance exam- JEE Main. PDEU B.Sc (Hons.) admission is based on candidates’ performance in the past qualifying exam. Candidates are shortlisted for admission to BA (Hons.), BBA (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons.) programmes based on a Written Test conducted by the university followed by a Personal Interview (PI).

For PDEU Executive MBA admission, candidates are selected based on Admission Interview at SoM-PDPU. PDEU admission to MA and M.Com will be offered based on the aggregate marks secured in the Statement of Purpose, Personal Interview and Graduation. Pandit Deendayal Energy University PhD admission is done through a Written Test conducted by the university followed by a personal interview. PDEU BTech Admission Process 2025

• Candidates seeking admission to BTech programme will have to meet the PDEU Gandhinagar BTech eligibility criteria.

• Appear and secure a valid score in the entrance examination: JEE Main. 

• Fill the PDEU application and pay the application fee. 

• Pandit Deendayal Energy University will prepare the merit list of the eligible candidates who have applied for admission.

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on the All India Rank (CRL Rank) obtained in the JEE (Main) examination.

• Shortlisted will then participate in the online counselling round. 

• Final admission is confirmed after verification of documents and PDEU admission fee payment.

Note:

• Government Seats (33%): For the purpose of admission on Gujarat Seats, a candidate has to apply at ACPC as per ACPC norms.

• All India Seats (67%): A candidate seeking admission on All India Seats shall apply online, on the PDEU website, within the prescribed time limit.

• For PDEU BTech (Biotechnology) a student from Gujarat can also apply with PCB (Physics – Chemistry – Biology) based on GUJCET score.

PDEU BSc (Hons) Admission Process 2025

• For admission to B.Sc (Hons.) programme, candidates should meet the PDEU Gandhinagar B.Sc (Hons.) eligibility criteria.

• Complete the PDEU application by visiting the official website of the university.

• PDEU Gandhinagar B.Sc (Hons.) admission will be on a provisional basis subject to fulfilment of passing the 12th standard or equivalent qualification.

• Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the last qualifying examination.

• Admission is confirmed after verification of documents and PDEU fee payment. 

PDEU Admission Process 2025: BA (Hons)/ BBA (Hons)/ BCom (Hons)

• First, candidates will have to meet the PDEU UG eligibility criteria for admission to BA (Hons), BBA (Hons.) and B.Com (Hons) programmes. 

• Eligible candidates need to fill the application form by paying the PDEU application fee.

• Appear for a Written Test and Personal Interview (offline) conducted by the university.

• Common merit is prepared based on the rank obtained from the evaluation of the process and the preference given by the candidate in the application form. 

• Candidates must produce all certificates (if any) for achievements in co-curricular and sports at the time of the interview if asked by the panellists.

• Following that, candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance exam and personal interview.

PDEU MTech Admission Process 2025

• For admission to the MTech programme, candidates will have to fulfil the PDEU MTech eligibility criteria.

• Appear and secure a valid score in the entrance exam: GATE.

• Fill out the Pandit Deendayal Energy University application  

• PDEU Gandhinagar MTech admission will be offered to the candidates on merit based on the GATE score in Phase - I. 

• The seats remaining vacant upon completing admissions of Phase - I will be transferred to the seats for Phase II admissions.

• The Phase - II admission process is meant for non-GATE candidates and also for candidates having a valid and qualified GATE score but not offered admission during Phase - I.

• A single merit list will be prepared for valid and qualified GATE and non-GATE candidates.

• Candidates qualifying the entrance exam will have to appear for the personal interview.

• However, 50% weightage of GATE score (applicable to GATE-qualified candidates).

• Candidates are shortlisted for admission based on their performance in the entrance exam and personal interview. 

• Seats are allotted after verification of documents and PDEU admission fee payment.

• 33% - Government Seats (Filled by ACPC): For the purpose of admission to Gujarat Seats, a candidate has to apply at ACPC as per ACPC norms.

• 67% - All India Seats (Filled by PDEU): The admission process will be conducted by PDEU in two rounds, (1) Early M.Tech Admissions and (2) Regular M.Tech. Admissions.

PDEU MSc Admission Process 2025

• Candidates will have to meet the PDEU MSc eligibility criteria.

• Eligible candidates must fill the application form and pay the application fee.

• Appear for a Written Admission Test (WAT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI) conducted by PDEU Gandhinagar.

• The Admission Committee of PDEU will prepare merit lists of the eligible candidates who have applied for respective courses. 

• The PDEU Gandhinagar selection procedure for MSc is comprised of three components: UG final Exam Performance (50%), Written Test (25%) and Personal Interview (25%). 

• The final merit list will be prepared on total marks. The merit lists shall be displayed on the PDEU website.

• To confirm admission, the candidate should get their documents verified and pay the Pandit Deendayal Energy University admission fee.

PDEU MSc Selection Procedure and Merit List Preparation 2025

PDEU MBA Admission Process 2025

• First, candidates have to meet the PDEU MBA eligibility criteria.

• Appear and secure a valid score in CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT. 

• Eligible candidates are to apply through the prescribed admission form available on the SoM website along with the payment of the application fee.

• Candidates who are shortlisted based on CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT scores are invited for GD/ PI/ WAT.

• Pandit Deendayal Energy University MBA admission is offered based on CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT score followed by GD, WAT, PI, Work Experience and academic performance in Standard 12 and at Bachelor’s Degree.

PDEU Executive MBA Admission Process 2025

• Candidates seeking admission to the Executive MBA need to satisfy the PDEU Executive MBA eligibility criteria.

• Eligible candidates can apply online form available at spm.pdpu.ac.in.

• The shortlisted candidates shall have to appear for admission interviews at SoM-PDPU on specified dates.

• Admission is offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in the admission interview at SoM-PDPU. 

• The last step includes verification of documents and PDEU course fee payment.

PDEU Admission Process 2025: MA/ MCom

• Candidates aspiring for admission to the MA/ M.Com programme will have to meet the PDEU MA/ M.Com eligibility criteria.

• Eligible candidates can apply online on the School of Liberal Studies website for the application procedure.

• Fill out the application form by paying the application fee. 

• Candidates need to upload a Statement of Purpose (SOP) for pursuing the Master's Programme in around 500 words along with the application form.

• Every candidate will have to submit their SOP before appearing for a personal interview (Hybrid), which will be scheduled by the panel.

• A merit list will be prepared based on graduation marks (10 marks), Statement of Purpose (50 marks) and personal interview (40 marks).
