Academics

I am studying MBA and my main goal to pursue this course is to get a good placement. The quality of teaching is very good. All the faculties are well educated. The curriculum is very updated and it includes all the recent developments in the business field. And yes it makes me job ready.

College Infra

Xavier Business School has all the necessary infrastructure ,facilities and equipment. Classrooms have smartboards, wifi . Different kind of indoor and outdoor stadium are there in the campus. Library facilities are very good. E-Library is also available. Hostel facilities is outstanding. Living spaces are clean and the foods served are very hygienic and healthy.

Campus Life

Campus life is very interesting. As of now the classes are online so different online activities are being arranged by our college in which students can participate to improve their communication skills.

Placements

The quality of placement is good in our college . Last year around 95% are placed. Average salary is Rs. 8-9 Lakh/year for Marketing. For Finance it is around Rs.7.5 Lakhs/year and for HR it is Rs. 5-6 Lakh per annum. The placement team is very supportive.

Value For Money

Per Semester the course is cost around Rs.2.6 Lakh. The course offered is good. Soft Skills trainings are also being provided.

Academics

XBS, a member of XAMI, offers a two-year full time residential MBA with specialization options of Finance, Marketing and HR. Classes are conducted by both in-house experienced professors in the management field as well as guest lectures from industry experts. Various interactive sessions with industry experts are conducted to give them a view of the current industrial scenario. Students also get to do soft-skills workshops to be prepared for the summer internship and final placements.

College Infra

Xavier Business School, located in New Town, Kolkata, is equipped with all the state-of-the-art facilities. Starting from the provision of smart classes to a well-equipped and advanced MacLab/Computer Lab along with a modern and resourceful library, they have it all. There is provision of indoor and outdoor sports, gymnasium and a food court for students.

Campus Life

To keep the students engaged, not only industry visits are conducted but they are encouraged to conduct various events all around the year. In Sept'19 the first two batches successfully organised its first Inter-B-School fest Xaviesta with participation from 10 renowned B-Schools in Eastern India. Various societies are there like Entrepreneurship Cell, Management Games Debate and Quiz Society, Magazine Committee among others which help students in developing managerial and leadership skills.

Placements

Reputed and well-known companies have offered summer internship positions and final placements to students. Companies like PwC India, PwC SDC, Deloitte India, EY GDS, Dabur, Berger Paints, HDFC Bank and many other big organizations have recruited from our college. Highest salary this season have been 12 lacs and average 6.5 lacs. As a finance student, I dreamt of working in one of the big four and this institution have helped me to get me placed in my dream company.

Academics

Xavier Business School offers four specialisation options of Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and Systems & Operations. The most unique thing about their course curricullam is that more emphasis is given on Internal Assessment that continues all throughout the semester through presentations, case study, group discussions, written assignments etc. 60 marks is alloted to internal assessments while 40 marks is alloted to end semester exams. The curriculum is well updated.

College Infra

The College is equipped with all the modern learning facilities like smart classrooms, Wifi all around the campus, spacious and peaceful library, computer labs with all updated softwares required for management studies. The housekeeping staff always keep the campus clean and it is a plastic free campus. The Canteen also provides good quality food at a reasonable rate and stays open from 7.30am to 9.30pm. To keep the students healthy and fit, the college also has a gymnasium.

Campus Life

College has got various clubs and societies that conducts various Intra-college and Inter-College events through out the year to give the students ample opportunities to showcase their talent and skills in various extra-curricular activities. XAVIESTA is the annual inter b-school fest of XBS that took place for the first time in September 2019 and it was a really successful venture. Hostel Committee also organizes "Movie Night" every month for the students to get some relaxation.

Placements

Placements for the first batch of XBS has been fantastic. Almost 90% of the batch got placed by February 2020. More than 50 companies have participated in the placement process this year generating a total of 95 offers. Some of the top recruiters are - Deloitte, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Ernst & Young, SREI, HDFC Bank, Dabur, Philips India Ltd, Goodricke Group Ltd, Berger Paints, Adani Wilmar, Godrej etc. Average Salary for the first batch has been 6.5LPA while the Highest Salary is 12LPA.
