    IIM Bangalore Admission Process

    Indian Institute of Management Bangalore admissions are provided to MBA and Ph.D programmes in the field of management. IIM Bangalore MBA admissions are based on the CAT examination, while admission to Ph.D programme is done based on GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE/JRF(NET) scores, or IIMB Test scores. 

    Admission to the BBA programme is based on the IIM DBE Entrance Exam. As per the IIM Bangalore admission process, candidates are shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

    IIM Bangalore Application Process

    MBA

    1. Candidates must register for the CAT examination.

    2. Select the IIM Bangalore programme you wish to apply for while registering for CAT examination and select the interview city preference.

    3. Pay the CAT application fees of Rs 2,500 (Rs 1,250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

    4. Appear for the CAT examination and score eligible marks.

    5. Candidates will be shortlisted for further admission process on the basis of CAT scores and scholastic achievement.

    6. The details of shortlisted candidates will be released by the IIM Bangalore.

    EPGP/PGPEM

    1. Candidates must appear for GMAT/GRE examination.

    2. Apply for the EPGP programme through the application form released on the official website of IIM Bangalore.

    3. Fill in the details required and give the details of the entrance test score you appeared for, i.e GMAT or GRE.

    4. Select the city preference for the interview process.

    5. Upload the SOP and category certificate (if applicable).

    6. Pay the application fees of Rs 3,000 and submit the application form.

    Ph.D

    1. Candidates must appear for GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE/UGC-CSIR NET/IIMB Test.

    2. Candidates can use only one of the above test scores while applying for Ph.D admissions.

    3. Candidates wishing to appear for IIMB Test need to pay a test fee of Rs 1,200.

    4. Candidates must apply through the application form released on the official website of IIM Bangalore.

    5. Candidates may apply for one or two areas of specialisation (primary and secondary).

    6. Upload the documents required and pay the application fees.

    7. The application fees for specialisation in one area is Rs 1,000, while for two areas is Rs 1,500.

    IIM Bangalore admission to its PG programme is done in the course of MBA of 2-year duration. IIM Bangalore MBA admissions also offers a variety of specialisations students can select from. The IIMB MBA fee is Rs 24.50 Lakhs.

    IIM Bangalore MBA Admission Process 2025

    • Students have to appear and qualify for the Common Admission Test(CAT)/GMAT.

    • IIM Bangalore will declare the CAT cutoff percentage.

    • Students who meet the cutoff declared by IIM Bangalore can fill out the application form on the official website of the institute.

    • Further, students have to appear for a Written Ability Test(WAT) and Personal Interview(PI).

    • Candidates must qualify GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE/JRF(NET)/IIMB Test to be eligible for IIITB Ph.D admissions.

    • Eligible candidates have to apply on the official website of the institute.

    • Candidates have to appear and qualify for the area-specific test and personal interview based on their entrance score. 

    • Students will be selected on the basis of their performance in school/graduation academic performance, work experience, area-specific test and ultimately their personal interview performance conducted by the Institute. 

    • Candidates selected need to deposit course fees and submit the documents to confirm their admission.
