IIM Calcutta Admission Process

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta admissions are provided to MBA, Executive MBA, PGP, ePGP and Ph.D programmes. IIM Calcutta admission to Management and Computer Application programmes are done based on the GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE/JRF(NET)/IIMB Test examination scores.

Candidates are shortlisted for Written Ability Test and a Personal Interview round as per the IIM Calcutta PGP admissions process. Students must fulfil the IIM Calcutta eligibility criteria to apply for the admissions.

IIM Calcutta Registrations 2025

Course	IIM Calcutta Application Process
PGP	Select the IIM Calcutta programme you wish to apply for while registering for CAT examination and select the interview city preference. Pay the CAT application fees of Rs 2,500 (Rs 1,250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates). Shortlisted candidates will be called for WAT and PI round by the IIM Calcutta.
Executive MBA	Apply for the MBAx programme through the application form released on the official website of IIM Calcutta. List of selected candidates will be released on official website of the institute.
Ph.D	Candidates must appear for GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE/UGC-CSIR NET examination. Fill in the online application form from the official website of IIM Calcutta. Selected candidates will be called for PI round at IIM Calcutta.

IIM Calcutta admission to its PG programme is done in the course of MBA and its specialisations in the field of Management, Economics, Humanities and Finance.

IIM Calcutta PG Eligibility Criteria

MBA	Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% score (45% in case of reserved category) + CAT.
Executive MBA	Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% score (45% in case of reserved category) + GMAT.
PGD	Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% score(45% in case of reserved category).

IIM Calcutta PG Admission Process 2025

Students have to appear and qualify the CAT examination for MBA admission, while for Executive MBA candidates must appear for GMAT examination.
Students who meet the cutoff declared by IIM Calcutta can fill out the application form on the official website of the institute.
Further, students have to appear for an Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the student's performance in the WAT and PI.
Criteria for the final seat allocation depends 30% on CAT score, 48% on PI, 8% on WAT, 8% on work experience and the rest on past academic performance.
Complete the admission process by submitting documents and paying the IIM Calcutta fees.

The institute offers Ph.D courses at the doctoral level in the field of Management, Finance, Economics and Humanities. The duration of IIMC Ph.D course is 6 years.

IIM Calcutta Ph.D Admission Process 2025

Candidates must qualify the GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-JRF/IIMB Test to be eligible for IIITA Doctorate admissions.
Eligible candidates have to apply on the official website of the institute.
Pay the application fees of Rs 2,000 (Rs 1,000 for reserved category).
Candidates who have an eligible percentile in the entrance exams are called for a personal interview round.
Students will be selected on the basis of their past academic performance, written test and personal interview performance conducted by the Institute.
Candidates selected need to deposit course fees and submit the documents to confirm their admission.

IIM Calcutta teachers are very helpful and they were knowledgeable about their teaching skills and processes. This course is curriculum relevant and it does make students industry-ready. The teachers teaches out of syllabus which was important for future.

Very highly qualified teaching faculty. Focus is laid on making the students industry ready and professional. Students need to be disciplined and work regularly to understand the course for good understanding. Passing is not that much difficult as there are exams and test after every two months to make up for low grades.
