Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria.
Next, eligible candidates have to appear for the GATE exam and obtain valid scores.
For GATE-qualified candidates, the GATE scores are given 80% weightage and the overall academic record is given 20% weightage.
Non-GATE candidates are given a merit list with 80% weightage given to the entrance test and 20% weightage given to their overall academic record.
Non-GATE candidates will also be considered only if seats remain open after GATE-qualified candidates have been admitted.
