Job notification forms/Internship notification forms are sent to the recruiters for registration.
The recruiters should fill out the form and submit it.
Data of eligible students is shared with the companies.
The pre-placement talks for scheduled for registered candidates.
Slots are provided to companies for online test/GD process and many others.
The list of shortlisted candidates will be sent to the placement cell for the final interview.
Shortlisted candidates will participate in the hiring process of the company.
The company submits a list of finally selected students, to the placement cell along with a waitlist at the end of the day/ slot.
The IIT Dhanbad placement cell confirms the offer acceptance to a company based on the student preference collected.
Selected students are taken out from further placement process, in compliance with our One Student, One Job Policy.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad, has a Career Development Centre that looks after the placements of students. The Career Development Centre (CDC) is committed to assisting students in developing their careers by offering them favourable placement opportunities. Starting with the batch and course, it's perfectly fine. When I applied, I wasn't this sure about the course or college. But after I joined, seeing the environment of IIT, I assured myself that I had taken the right decision. Talking about placements, around 75% of students in our course got placed. Around 5-10% are interested in civil, and 5% of the remaining students have already started startups. Top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Microsoft, Barclays, Sprinklr, Bajaj, PhonePe, Flipkart, Tata, Zepto, UltraTech Cement, Accenture, ICICI Bank, Amdocs, Axis Bank, Reliance, Beehyv, Jindal Steel and Power, Maruti Suzuki, Uber, etc. These are the top recruiting companies for our course. Obviously, IITs mainly focus on all-round development. Every student goes on with their interest, so main roles are like product engineer, data analyst, machine learning students, etc. The highest package for our course on campus is 58 LPA, and the lowest could be 9-10 LPA. The average package would be 18-23 LPA. Around 30-40% of students got internships from our course.For our course I pursued PhD from here so the students who is with us want to join as assistant professor.
