Bachelor of Computer Application - Batch of 2025-01-01
Academics
The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and well-versed in their respective subjects. The semester duration is around four months, which is relatively shorter compared to many other colleges, divided into two quizs, a mid and an end semester.
College Infra
The college infrastructure is quite good. The computer labs are modern and well-equipped. However, the academic block is comparatively small in size. Smart boards and air-conditioning facilities are available but in limited numbers. The campus also has an auditorium and a conference hall, which are useful for events and academic activities.
Campus Life
The campus organizes its own sports and cultural fests, which are fairly successful at the college level. There are good opportunities to participate in inter and intra-college sports events. The student community is quite active about sports.
Placements
Placements have been somewhat less satisfactory in recent years, as fewer companies visited the campus after COVID. However, the situation has been improving, with some reputed companies becoming a part of the recruitment process since last year. An added advantage is the opportunity to appear for placement drives at the main campus as well, which allows students to explore both on-campus and main campus opportunities.
Value For Money
Compared to many other institutions, the college fees are on the higher side and not very economical. While scholarships are available, they are limited in number and generally awarded only to top-performing students.

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027-01-01
Academics
The academic experience at BIT Patna is subpar. Faculty quality varies, with some being supportive, but others lack engagement. Classrooms are non-AC and often overcrowded, impacting the learning environment. Lab facilities are basic and sometimes outdated. The curriculum is rigid, offering limited flexibility for interdisciplinary learning. While the college offers various programs, the overall academic infrastructure and teaching quality need significant improvement to meet industry standards.
College Infra
The infrastructure at BIT Patna is below average. Classrooms are non-AC and basic, and some labs feel outdated with limited equipment. Hostel facilities are simple, and sports or recreational areas are minimal. While the library has essential resources, it lacks modern digital facilities. Overall, the campus infrastructure is functional but does not offer the comfort or modern amenities expected at top engineering colleges.
Campus Life
Campus life at BIT Patna is functional but lacks vibrancy. While events like Technika (the annual technical festival) and Prakrida (the sports fest) are organized, they often fall short in terms of scale and participation. The campus has basic amenities, but the overall environment doesn't foster a lively or engaging student life. Students often express a desire for more extracurricular activities and better facilities to enhance their college experience. The campus infrastructure, including hostels and recreational areas, is adequate but not exceptional, contributing to a sense of monotony among the student body
Placements
The placement scenario at BIT Patna is below expectations. While some students, particularly from Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), have secured positions with companies like PayPal and Amazon, these instances are exceptions rather than the norm. The overall placement rate is around 60–70%, with many students finding opportunities off-campus. The highest package offered recently was ₹34.40 LPA, but such offers are rare. The average package stands at approximately ₹6.58 LPA, with some students receiving as low as ₹3 LPA. The placement process is often criticized for its lack of transparency and support, with many students feeling that the on-campus opportunities are limited and not adequately facilitated.
Value For Money
BIT Patna offers limited value for money. Tuition and hostel fees are moderate compared to top-tier engineering colleges, but the facilities, teaching quality, and campus experience do not justify the cost. Students often feel that the infrastructure is basic, classrooms are non-AC, and extracurricular support is minimal. While the degree carries the BIT brand, the overall investment does not match the comfort, resources, and exposure provided, making it less cost-effective for many.
