The IIT Jammu placement cell helps students improve their employability skills. Every year companies such as OYO, Amazon, Toppr, Arista Networks and many others participate in the IIT Jammu placement drive and provide jobs to students. The average salary offered to students during IIT Jammu placements in the year 2022-23 was Rs 17 LPA and around 224 job offers were provided to IITJ students.
As per the IIT Jammu placement report 2022-23, around 129 companies participated in the placement drive. Companies such as Amazon, Eagle View, and RAAM Group participated in the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu placement drive and hired students.

IIT Jammu Placement Procedure
The IIT Jammu placement cell invites top companies for the placement drive programme.
The institute conducts pre-placement talks.
Student's resumes are sent to the recruiters and the preliminary stage shortlisting of candidates
The group discussions and personal interview rounds are conducted by the company.
The final selected candidates list will be sent to the IIT Jammu placement cell.
Every year IIT Jammu placements and internship opportunities are offered to an ample number of students at the institute. It must be noted that internships are not compulsory for students. IITJ has a Career Development Centre that invites companies to IIT Jammu placements. IIT Jammu placements cell acts as a bridge between students and companies. The students are trained and prepared for the IIT Jammu placement drive.

The placements for my branch is good as most of the girls get placed in core companies . A lot of MNC's also visit the campus . The average salary offered for computer related branches is around 22 lakhs per annum in our college. As the demand of female staff is more in tech companies the placement of girls is very good .

As IIT Jammu is a new IIT the placements are good but a person has to work extra so that they are being placed in a nice company . As for my branch , Civil Engineering a lot of companies come for placement and the average salary given is 12 lakhs which will obviosly increase as the college becomes old and has more alumini network . But still a lot of hardwork has to be put in .

It mostly depends on which branch you are getting in both the colleges. If you are getting computer science in igdtuw, then you should go for it anyday. Its in delhi, so the tech placements are pretty nice as it is in delhi and then location factors comes
