During the IIT BHU placements 2023-24, 89% B.Tech CSE students and 82.40% of B.Tech Electrical Engineering students were placed. The Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, has a placement cell that is responsible for the placements of the students. As per IIT Varanasi (BHU) NIRF 2024, 915 UG (4-year course) students were placed with Rs 20.0 lakhs, 234 UG (5-year course) students were placed with a median salary of Rs 2.15 lakhs and 218 PG students have been placed by IIT Varanasi placement cell in 2023 with an average salary of Rs 12.00 lakhs.

IIT BHU Varanasi Placement Process 2024

Invitation- The training and Placement cell (TPC) will send invitations to various organisations to participate in the IIT BHU Varanasi placement drive.
Job Application Form/ Internship Application form (JAF/IAF) - The interested companies should fill out a JAF/ IAF that contains details of the job profile and the company's requirements and submit it to the TPC.
Pre-Placements Talks- Dates and slots will be assigned to the interested companies by the TPC to conduct the written test or online test.
Shortlist- The list of shortlisted students for the final IIT BHU Varanasi placement process will be mailed by the companies to the TPC.
Interview- The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the organisation.
Final Listing- The company will provide the list of final selected students.

During the placement 2023-24, IIT BHU highest salary was offered to B.Tech CSE students with Rs 16.8 crores, followed by B.Tech Mechanical Engineering was Rs 54 lakhs and B.Tech Electrical Engineering with Rs 51.03 lakhs. The placements are great. Almost all the companies from India and major companies from abroad visit us for placements. The placement is very good at IIT BHU comparing to other IIT s , also the average package at IIT BHU is around the 22.8 lakhs per annum for this year , so this is very good . Also around 1200-1300 students got placed this year which is a very good number

IIT BHU has four different for M. Pharmacy which are Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy so they declared cutoff ranks according to your marks for each category every year cutoff changes due to various factors.They called 7 times more number students for counseling than the total seat available there.some
