As per the NIRF 2024 report of IIT Dharwad placement, B.Tech students secured a median package of Rs 14,85,000 per annum. Also, out of 125 students, 77 students got placed at top companies during IIT Dharwad placements 2023 and 12 students opted for higher studies.

The IIT Dharwad B.Tech highest package was Rs 52 LPA. With the help of Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad placement cell students at IITDH have secured jobs in some of the top companies like Microsoft, Air Asia, Cognizant, McAfee, and other companies.

IIT Dharwad Placement Procedure 2024

Step 1- Career Development Cell, commonly known as CDC sends invitations to the companies with relevant information for IIT Dharwad placements.
Step 2- Interested companies must fill out the job notification form (JNF) available on the official website of CDC.
Step 3- Students must register themselves with CDC and their resumes are made available to interested companies. The date and time are fixed with the mutual consent of the CDC and interested companies for pre-placement talks.
Step 4- Shortlisted students need to undergo the selection test which includes online tests and telephonic interviews.
Step 5- Based on the performance of students in online tests and telephonic interviews, candidates are shortlisted.
Step 6- The cell provides the recruitment dates to the companies.
Step 7- Last, companies provide the final list of selected candidates and job offers are extended to selected candidates.

IITDH Internship Procedure 2024

Step 1- First, CDC sends invites to companies with all the relevant information.
Step 2- Interested companies must visit the official website of the CDC and fill a job notification form (JNF).
Step 3- Details regarding the internship are made available to interested and eligible students. The list of students who are interested and eligible is made available to the companies.
Step 4- Companies take selection tests to select the students and a list of selected interns along with offer letters are extended to the internship wing of CDC.
Step 5- companies need to provide feedback after the internship is complete.

Regarding placements , now it is equal to the placements of few private colleges, but placements are also not so good, But as it is a new campus it takes time ,Hope placements get better. And I think they increase with time.

Placements

Avarage placements is 14 to 16 lpa and 51LPA is the highest placement. It's not so good at placements also. As it is a 3rd generation IIT it takes some time to get devoloped. I suggest it's better to take other branches in old generation IIT's than to join CSE in IIT Dharwad.

Hello,
In CSE, roughly, 90% percent were placed with 8 LPA as average and 15 LPA as the highest package. Amazon, Adobe and Microsoft were the top recruiting companies. 80% students got internship.
