Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar has an Office of Career Services (OCS) that handles the entire campus placement drive. Every year various organisations like HP, Microsoft, Deshaw, Amazon and Accolite participate in the IIT Ropar placement drive. IIT Ropar placements drive programme will be conducted every year.
According to the NIRF 2023 data provided, a total of 229 students from the UG were placed in the campus drive, whereas 108 students were placed in the PG 2-year programme. The placement quality at my IIT is quite good. A large percentage of students from almost every branch get placed each year, especially in CSE where placements are very strong. Many well-known companies visit the campus offering good packages. The average package of CSE is approx. 22 LPA. The placement process is smooth and the Career Development and Placement Cell guides students at every step, from preparation to final offers.
