IIT Dharwad Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad admissions are offered to B.Tech, M.Tech, MS, M.Sc and Ph.D programmes. Candidates applying for IIT Dharwad admission to B.Tech programme should appear for JEE Advanced examination, while M.Tech admissions is based on GATE examination.

Students with M.Sc degrees may be considered for IIT Dharwad Ph.D admissions if they fulfil anyone with a valid Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of CSIR/UGC/NBHM/DBT/ICAR/ICMR/ICPR/DST INSPIRE Scholarship. Candidates must meet the IIT Dharwad eligibility criteria before applying for admissions.

The institute offers four-year full-time B.Tech programmes for Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad UG admissions. IITDH B.Tech programme is offered in specialisations with Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Engineering Physics, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

IIT Dharwad UG Seat Intake and Eligibility Criteria

• The first step in the IIT Dharwad UG admission process is that students need to meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed.

• Fill out the online application form to appear for JEE Advanced for Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad admissions.

• Eligible candidates must appear for JEE Advanced. 

• The result of JEE Advanced is released in an online mode on the official website.

• Candidates must meet the JEE Advanced cutoff to participate in the counselling.

• The counselling is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority(JoSAA). Candidates must register for counselling and select their preferred colleges and courses.

• For IIT Dharwad admissions, candidates must choose IIT Dharwad as their preferred college.

• Candidates are allotted seats based on ranks secured by candidates, preferences and availability of seats.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority released the round 1 of JoSAA 2024 seat allocation result on June 20, 2024. Selected candidates need to pay the seat allocation fees and submit the documents for verification. Candidates can visit the josaa.nic.in and fill in the JEE Main roll number and password for checking the seat allocation status.

IIT Dharwad offers MS, M.Sc and M.Tech programmes for the Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad PG admissions. IIT Dharwad offers MS programmes in three specialisations: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Further, students need to appear for the screening test and/or interview conducted by IIT Dharwad.

Candidates seeking IIT Dharwad admission to B.Tech programme must appear for JoSAA counselling process, while for admissions to M.Tech programmes, the IIT Dharwad counselling process is done through COAP Counselling. The counselling for Ph.D programmes is conducted after completion of the entrance examination.

The JEE Advanced result 2024 have been released by the IIT Madras on June 9, 2024. Candidates can also download the JEE Advanced answer key 2024 which was released on June 2, 2024. JEE Advanced 2024 examination was held on May 26, 2024. To download the JEE Advanced result candidates must visit the jeeadv.ac.in and fill in the required details to download their score card. After qualifying the JEE Advanced 2024 candidates must apply and appear for the JoSAA counselling 2024.
