IIT BHU Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (IIT BHU) admissions are done based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination. IIT BHU Varanasi B.Tech admissions are done based on valid JEE Advanced scores. Candidates must register for the JoSAA counselling process to complete IIT BHU admissions. 

IIT BHU admissions to M.Tech are done based on the performance of the candidate in GATE. As per the IIT BHU M.Pharm selection process, candidates must have valid scores in GPAT. Similarly, IIT BHU Varanasi PhD admissions are done based on GATE or GPAT/ NET-LS/ CSIR/ UGC NET JRF/ ICMR JRF/ DBT-JRF/ DST-INSPIRE fellowship. IIT BHU GATE 2025: Important Dates

The college offers B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Tech+M.Tech. at the undergraduate level. The duration of the courses lasts from 4 years to 5 years. The details of the Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University eligibility criteria along with seat intake are given below in tabular format.

Indian Institute of Technology BHU Varanasi UG Admission Process 

• The candidate must meet the IIT BHU Varanasi eligibility criteria.

• The candidate must appear and qualify for the JEE Advanced examination.

• If the candidate qualifies JEE Advanced then the candidate must register for JoSAA/CSAB counselling on the official website.

• Then the candidate must select IIT BHU Varanasi as the preferred college in the counselling process. 

• Candidates must also qualify for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) to enrol for the B. Arch programmes.

• Then the seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination.

• Finally, the candidate must submit documents for verification and pay IIT BHU Varanasi fees. 

The college offers 37 courses at the postgraduate level. The IIT BHU Varanasi PG course includes M.Tech and M.Pharm. The duration of M.Tech lasts for 2 years.

IIT BHU M.Tech Admission Process 

• The candidate must meet the IIT BHU Varanasi M.Tech eligibility criteria.

• Then the candidate must appear and qualify for GATE.

• The candidates qualifying for the GATE should register in COAP counselling.

• The candidate must select IIT BHU Varanasi as a preferred college.

• Then the seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination.

• Finally, the candidate must submit documents for verification and pay IIT BHU Varanasi fees. 

IIT BHU Varanasi M.Pharm Admission Process 

• The candidate must meet the IIT BHU Varanasi M.Pharm eligibility criteria.

• Then the candidate must appear and qualify for the GPAT.

• GPAT-qualified candidates must then fill out the application form from the official website.

• Further shortlisted candidates must attend the written test and/or interview. 

• Selected candidates will be informed through e-mail and their names will be notified in the admission portal.

Indian Institute of Technology BHU Varanasi offers PhD at the doctoral level. The duration of Ph.D may last up to 6 years. All the IIT BHU Varanasi Ph.D courses are offered in full-time mode only.

IIT BHU Varanasi PhD Admission Process 

• The candidate must meet the IIT BHU Varanasi eligibility criteria.

• The candidates must appear and qualify for GATE or GPAT/NET-LS/CSIR/UGC NET JRF/ICMR JRF/DBT-JRF/DST-INSPIRE fellowship. 

• If the candidate does not appear for the above-mentioned examination, then he/she should attend the written test conducted by the college.

• Then the shortlisted candidates must attend the personal interview.

• The IIT BHU Varanasi PhD selection process is done based on the candidate's performance in the written test and personal interview.

• Finally, the candidate must submit documents for verification and pay IIT BHU Varanasi fees.
