National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal has a separate placement cell on campus named the Career Development Cell (CDC). The National Institute of Technology Surathkal offers many placement opportunities for all levels of students. The institute offers internships for students. NIT Surathkal median package offered to UG students is Rs 15,00,000. While for PG students the median salary package ranges from about Rs 10,00,000 to Rs 13,59,000 as per the information available from the NIRF Report 2024.

Big companies like Texas Instruments, Nvidia, ARM, and Samsung Semiconductor India to name a few are the top recruiting companies for our course. About 30 percent including M. So this year the Placements have taken a major hit due to recession, pandemic recovery, and a mix of other reasons. In fact, CSE, IT and other circuital branches (till EEE) were also struggling quite a bit but core still endured enough to place most students. A good mix of companies like Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Analog Devices and other come for Electronics. Microsoft, JP Morgan, Accenture, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Walmart, Accenture, Goldman Sachs are regular visitors for SDEs. Caterpillar, Reliance, BPCL, Ola Electric, TATA, GE, Bajaj, L&T, ExxonMobil and several different PSUs comd for Core recruitments. Deloitte, PwC, ICICI, Thorogood, ZS are all pretty cool recruiters for business roles. And lastly, Wells Fargo, Sprinklr, and host of other startups come for varied roles.
